There are millions of art pieces all over the word. These art pieces range from sketches and paintings to sculptures and architectural wonders. Each piece of art speaks the mind of the painter, sculptor, and architect that come from different parts of the world and cultures. Their works are a testament to human creativity and ingenuity.
The creation of these wonders began 40,000 years ago with cave drawings and little sculptures which is known as Pre-historic art. The sculpture that is called Venus of Willendorf, which is now called Woman of Willendorf is a product of this age where it depicts a woman with exaggerated female attributes. Later, civilization began to progress and so did art.
The Renaissance Era, which began around late 1200’s was when many European painters, sculptures ,and architects created a multitude of art pieces. They painted some of the worlds most beautiful paintings, life-like statues, and colossal structures. But this was just in the west. In the eastern countries, like China and India, art also boomed. Although they were from different parts of the world, art was still a universal language.
Presently, the concept of modernization has been adapted by many artist. They build magnificent pieces of art based on this concept. For instance, the recently constructed Beijing National Stadium which was built for the 2008 Olympics. It was given the nickname “Bird Nest” because of its nest-like skeletal structure. We also have the paintings by Vincent van Gough, who has made paintings and drawings that are very popular and expensive.
